HBO has announced the three young actors who will play the main characters in its upcoming Harry Potter TV series. Dominic McLaughlin will be Harry Potter, Alastair Stout will play Ron Weasley, and Arabella Stanton will take on the role of Hermione Granger. The producers said they were chosen after a long audition process, with thousands of young actors trying out for the roles.
The new series is described as a faithful adaptation of J.K. Rowling’s books and will cover the story over several seasons. According to the producers, the three actors have great talent, and they are excited for fans around the world to see them on screen.
This new cast will follow the original film actors — Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson — who played these famous characters in eight movies. Other well-known actors are also joining the new show. Paapa Essiedu will play Severus Snape, and John Lithgow will be the new headmaster of Hogwarts. The series marks a new beginning for the Harry Potter story on television.
