Tourists visiting Mount Etna in Sicily experienced a powerful volcanic eruption. Loud explosions and a huge mushroom cloud forced them to run for safety. Smoke, ash, and rocks shot into the sky, reaching 20,000 feet. The eruption was visible even from 30 miles away. Locals and visitors described it as one of the most incredible events they’ve ever seen. It was the biggest eruption on the island in over a decade.
