Knock on wood

In this video-based lesson, students explore the origins of both well-known and unusual superstitions from around the world, while developing vocabulary and practising listening skills. Students examine discourse markers and activate these in one of two final activities: mini-presentations or a discussion. There is also an optional extension activity related to language for making predictions about the future.
