It all started with Catherine of Braganza, a Portugese royal who married King Charles II of England in 1662 and brought with her, a crate of loose tea leaves and spices as part of her dowry.
Everyone wanted to be like their new queen and soon, tea exploded in popularity among Brits. Just like that, history was made!
